We are pleased to announce that The Winery SF 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon, North Coast received a Silver Medal & 89 point rating from American Fine Wine Competition.
Containing mostly mountain fruit, this Cabernet Sauvignon exhibits bold, red fruit upfront and a sweet tannic structure on the palate. At first sight, the vibrant purple hue is noticed with notes of black spice and anise in the nose, which is very typical of mountain fruit. As the glass is swirled, darker fruits and black currant flavors are released. Subtle hints of red berries, red currant and crème de cassis carry through the mid-palate into the finish where the darker fruit and tannins begin to take over, giving the wine a complex structure. One experiences multiple layers of fruit before diving into the dark long finish, which lingers in the mouth for 20+ seconds.
