2016 BDX Bordeaux Blend 95pts & named the Top Bordeaux Blend in America - American Fine Wine Competition

Our 2016 BDX is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot made in the fashion of the great wines from the Left Bank of the Bordeaux region of France.
With exclusively of fruit from the Mayacamas Mountain Range that separates Napa from Sonoma, the depth of this wine is immediately seen in the deep, dark color of the wine in the glass. At first smell, the wine exhibits earthy, truffle notes with dark blackberry fruit. On the palate, the wine shows a upfront notes for black cherry and raspberry and reveals its firm, dark tannins in the mid-palate.
This full-bodied wine extends into a long 45+ second finish with hints of cedar and sweet oak. Enjoy this wine over the next 7 to 10+ years.

2016 Cabernet Sauvignon, North Coast 90 points, Wine Enthusiast Magazine
We are excite to announce the release of our 2016 North Coast Cabernet Sauvignon which was recently rated 90 points by Wine Enthusiast Magazine. Our winemaker is very proud of this wine and describes it as:
"Containing mostly mountain fruit from the Mayacamas Mountain Range which defines the border between Napa and Sonoma. The wine exhibits a deep, dark color in the glass, characteristic of mountain fruit. In the nose, dark black currant and blackberry notes dominate, with a hint of truffles, common in older vineyards. On the palate, bold red fruit is exhibited on entry, quickly followed dark currant and well integrated tannins with provide great structure in the mid-palate. The wine is complex and concentrated leading to a full body in the mouth with a hint of sweet oak in the finish. Enjoy this wine over the next 7-10 years."

We have a lot to announce at The Winery SF including our new release wines, both of which have 90+ point ratings, and our new tasting room! As many of your know, Treasure Island is going through a redevelopment, and it was only time before we were affected. Unfortunately, we had to close our winery and tasting room on Treasure Island, but we were able to join a tasting room in San Francisco proper -- Winery Collective. We will continue to explore opportunities to relocate our winey in San Francisco, and, in the meantime, you can enjoy our wines at our new tasting room in Fisherman's Wharf.

We have partnered with the Winery Collective, San Francisco's Wine Tasting Room, to be the new Winery SF tasting room. Winery Collective represents several local wineries and will be pouring and selling The Winery SF wines. Although there will not be an exclusive Winery SF wine tasting flight, you will be able to enjoy several of our wines on their tasting menu and by the glass including our popular Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon and Glitter Sparkling Wine!
Wine Club Members can enjoy any of Winery Collective's tasting flights at 1/2 off and still receive 15% off all glasses and bottles of The Winery SF wines. As Winery Collective represents several wineries, space at Winery Collective for wine tasting is often limited, so reservations are recommended. Winery Collective will try to prioritize reservations for wine club members and will do their best to accomodate everyone. We cannot hold a private event at The Winery SF under the current Covid-19 guidelines, but we are able to host a private lunch or dinner party for up to 24 people next door on the Sottomarino Winery open-air heated deck. As you know, The Winery SF re-opened for Wine Tasting at a safe social distance on June 13th and the response has been great! We've had seveval of you come for food, wine tasting and to pick up wine to take home. The response has been so amazing that we really do want to stress booking a reservation online. We still accept walk-ins, but there may be 10 to 20 minute wait without one! Book your reservation now to avoid any wait time.

Winery SF Re-Release Party

Join us for The Winery SF New Release Party featuring our 2015 Zinfandel and 2017 Pinot Noir, North Coast. It opens with alluring aromas of fragrant purple flowers and rich red berries with a underlying scent of baking spices and exotic herbs. On the palate, this wine is plush and full, brimming with plum, cherry, spice, herb and a slight hint of vanilla.
In the glass, this wine shows a ruby red color with a white pepper on the nose followed by hints of clove and crème de cassis. On the palate, red berry fruit jumps out front and quickly is overcome by darker fruit with notes of black plum with black pepper spice.

With the Covid-19 pandemic, life at The Winery SF and our community has changed. For the health & safety of our guests & our staff, we've closed our tasting room have been working diligently on rescheduling all our weddings and events to later in the year. It's been difficult for you to enjoy our wine. We're happy to announce that there is good news. Despite everything, we are still able to grow grapes, produce excellent wine, and distribute our wine to your home!
With that being said, we've been staying quite busy at The Winery SF trying to find new ways to make it easier for you to enjoy our wines. First, we updated our website with a new on-line shopping cart, and we are now registered to ship to 39 States. If you were in a state that we couldn't previously ship to, check below to see if your State now qualifies! Below is the list of states that we can ship to:

We know that nothing can replace an afternoon of wine tasting with friends and family at The Winery SF, but we are doing our best to help you enjoy our wine during the Social Distancing order. As of now, this order is extended until early May, therefore we've cancelled all weekend events until this time. Curbside Pick-Up - Saturdays 12p-5p
With the Covid-19 Safe Distancing Order, we are unable to open our tasting room for wine tasting, but we will be open for wine purchases and pick-ups! We would like to invite you to our Curbside Pick-Up Saturdays. We will taking orders and delivering your wine to you in your car (or by leaving it on a table for you to pickup if you prefer). All proper Safe Distancing guidelines will be maintained and our staff will be equipped with face masks and gloves.
To make our Curbside Pick-Up Saturday even more special, we will be offering a 10% discount for pre-purchasing your pickup order on-line. If you aren't able to join us for our Saturday Pick Up, we are able to provide pick-ups of your order or your wine club shipments on Tuesday - Friday from 12pm - 5pm by appointment from our tasting room at The Winery SF. If you wish to have your winter wine club release shipped to you, please let us know and we can make arrangement to ship your wines to you.
Summer is in full swing and the grapes are looking great. In 2019, we had almost a frost free spring which allowed the shoots to push evenly producing a nice balanced set for the grapevines. This strong set, along with a rainy winter and spring, has forced us to aggressively thin our crop to produce a more balanced, higher quality yield. Because of this, we expect to see a lot of variability in many winery's wines in 2019, unless they are thinning their crop to produce higher quality fruit as we are doing. If things continue as they are, you can expect another high quality vintage from The Winery SF in 2019!
This upcoming weekend is one of my favorite times of the year as it is time for our New Release Party! Join us on Sunday, August 18th from 12p-5p for The Winery SF New Release Party featuring the release of our new 2016 North Coast Pinot Noir and the first release of our new Sweeeet Zinfandel - a full bodied Zinfandel with just the perfect amount of sweetness. Join us on Sunday for a day of food and wine with a beautiful day along the San Francisco Bay waterfront on our outdoor deck and patio.
In addition to our new release party, we are planning a number of fun events this summer and into the fall including our Mid-Summer Drink Pink event, Canine & Cabs Quarterly Dog Event, National Popcorn Day Celebration with a free popcorn bar, National Pinot Noir Day Celebration Weekend and our ever popular Labor Day Bacchus & BBQ event over the Labor Day Weekend. Join us for The Winery SF New Release Party featuring the release of our new North Coast Pinot Noir and the first release of our new Sweeeet Zinfandel. Enjoy food, wine and a beautiful day along the San Francisco Bay waterfront on our outdoor deck and patio at our winery on Treasure Island.
Our new North Coast Pinot Noir is a follow-up to our earlier release that received 2nd Place (out of over 500 Pinot Noir wines) at the Pinot Summit. Come taste and get a chance to buy this highly sought after wine!
**Wine Club pick up party with complimentary snacks closes at 3pm. Tasting room remains open to the public until 5:00pm.
The Winery SF and it's neighboring wineries at Winemaker Studios are the perfect place to hold your 2019 gatherings with friends, family, colleagues, and coworkers.
